Here's a little video previewing some of the changes that will be coming in Alpha .41, recording by our very own Phillip McKeen (Jaguar, formerly known as pmckeen)! Phillip has been taken on board as a developer for the game and has so far completely a very groundbreaking addition to the game: large world generation. Though we were previously limited to 500x500 worlds, we will now be able to create much larger (even infinite) worlds! These worlds will also, unlike in the past, be properly saved/persisted between gaming sessions.
Ok, clarification, "infinite" depends on your hard drive space. Big Grin Maps can get big. It's what Aaron and I are working on, and we *hope* to make it in to .41.

Lookin' good! I'm so glad that the cube building has been fixed, as it is now it's pretty annoying to have to destroy a whole chunk of wall because of a bad click Tongue

Also, world saving yay!
Looks pretty awesome so far, thought the inventory is still really disorganized. Considering my Minecraft chests are a mess, I can only imagine what my inventory will look like.

I'm getting excited for this release ^_^

While I can't provide any details on the feature I'm working on this week, I can say it will DRASTICALLY improve mod support. There's another feature that will probably be post .41 that will make modding a full fledged reality, and probably comprise the foundation for most of the game content.
Consist of; be made up of: "the country comprises twenty states".
Make up; constitute.

I love the way that word is reversible... I wasn't sure if I'd used it right... and now realize it can be used both ways... how odd.
