			<description><![CDATA[I havent played a huge amount of Lords of Uberdark since I don't have a computer that is still intact, but I would really like to see a blocking mechanism implemented. It would help give more depth to the melee system.<br />

How it works: Mouse 2 would activate block an attack on you would result in no damage taken but you can only hold for a short time, I havent got much experience however so i'm not sure how it would like in the game.<img src="images/smilies/lightbulb.gif" style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="Idea" title="Idea" />]]></description>

Anyway, last week was very productive for Uberdark -- got the oriented/scaled terrain plop working (it doesn't work fast, but it works).  For small bits of terrain (2-3 foot radius or so) the speed isn't an issue -- only with larger chunks does it become apparent (so it'll work for now).  Also redid the lighting, and improved the way cartoon lines were being calculated.  Have shiny terrain surfaces now too...<br />

Also worked on the new terrain rendering system -- test system runs 60 fps on my laptop (with outlines and unique textures at 1/64th foot resolution over a reasonable volume)...  Now just have to marry it with the data system and do some magic.<br />
